Our heating planet is one of the biggest threats facing our precious wildlife in NSW. With extreme weather events such as fires, floods and droughts on the increase, as well as warming temperatures changing habitats faster than animals can adapt, the outlook for NSW's threatened species like koalas, mountain pygmy possums and so many more, is not looking good.

With extreme weather events such as fires, floods and droughts on the increase, as well as warming temperatures changing habitats faster than animals can adapt, the outlook for NSW's threatened species like koalas, mountain pygmy possums and so many more, is not looking good. 

The world's scientists are in agreement that in order to avoid unacceptable loss and destruction of much of the natural world, we need to limit global heating to below 1.5 degrees. The efforts of governments to date have not been good enough, particularly Australia’s!

Here in NSW, we can play our part by calling on the government to act urgently to reduce carbon emissions at the rate in which science is telling us is needed.
